After the devastating flood disaster, King Harald remembers the many victims and people in need. Prince William and Duchess Kate are also deeply affected.
The Norwegian King Harald V expressed his condolences in view of the flood disaster in Germany and other countries.
In a message addressed to Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the 84-year-old monarch said he was “sad” about the floods. He added: “Please convey my condolences to those who have been grieved or otherwise affected by this terrible natural disaster”. He also sent a message of the same name to King Philippe of Belgium.
The second in line to the British throne, Prince William, and his wife Duchess Kate (both 39) were also concerned. “The destruction and the loss that the flood has caused in Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands is devastating,” it said on the Kensington Palace Twitter account.
