The surprising death of Mirco Nontschew (1969-2021) continues to shake the German comedy landscape. Numerous friends, colleagues and companions of the “RTL Saturday Night” star express their sadness and bewilderment on social media. Michael Bully Herbig (53), with whom Nontschew last shot “LOL: Last One Laughing” for the third season, to the comedy star.

“You made people happy. We shed so many tears of laughter because of you!” Said Herbig. “Today’s tears, on the other hand, are bitter and painful! The show must go on … for you Mirco!”, He writes about a photo of Nontschew.

Guido Cantz (50) describes the death of Nontschew as a “tragedy”. “The comedian with the ‘funniest bones’ ever left us … German comedy is losing its most talented but most self-critical comedian.
