The Peaky Blinders movie
The only confirmed on-screen sequel to Peaky Blinders is an upcoming sequel, written by the show’s original creator, Steven Knight.
Speaking recently to Radio Times, Knight said filming on the film should begin in mid-2024.
“Right now I’m just working on the final parts.”Knight said. “I just sit down at the keyboard and start. For me it’s a bit like having a dream. You sit there and all this stuff comes in, and then you read it again and you’re like, “That’s pretty good, but where did it come from?”
“The plan is to start filming in the middle of next year.”
Cillian Murphy and the possibility of returning as Tommy Shelby
Cillian Murphywho played Tommy Shelby in the series, said he is “open” to returning for a movie.
Speaking last year, Murphy said: “I’m totally open to the idea, but I also think it was a bit of a Six Perfect Seasons. Sometimes it is difficult to go to the film format and I like the ambiguity of the ending, but I am always open to a great script, who wouldn’t be?
