Just 218 kilometers of the Federal Capital, the lagoon of the city of Bragado, in the province of Buenos Aires, It is undoubtedly an excellent alternative to enjoy a natural environment and, at the same time, relax from the routine on a weekend getaway.
Surrounded by pure nature, the Bragado lagoon is located approximately 2 km from the center of the main city. The total reservation is about 670 hectares (350 of water and 320 of land). The lagoon contour presents irregular, low and gently sloping coastal margins.
Regarding the hydraulic aspects linked to the lagoon, it is located crossed by the Republica Italia canal, an artificial drainage that is part of the Salado River basin system.

As for the fish fauna, you can find carp, tarariras, toothfish, silversides, catfish and mojarras.
The ecological reserve has a anthropized area suitable for tourist services and activities. At the entrance to the park is the “Crescent Moon” equine therapy center where they are carried out inclusion programs, horseback riding and everything related to the animal that gives its name to the city, the horse.

Bragado Lagoon: camping and water sports service
The property has a 24 hour security police checkpoint., you can also find the San Ramón Fishing Club, with camping service (private) with grills, games for children, nautical nursery, event room, bathrooms, etc.
The municipal campsite also offers service for campers, with a large grove of trees which provides important shade for the summer months, where in addition to drinking water, you will find showers, grills, etc. At the historic reserve’s grocery store, you can get everything you need for your stay.
Another historical place is Creole skills field “Don Abel Figueron”, where different events are held throughout the year, but the main one that stands out is the “National horse festival”, where the lagoon receives thousands of tourists second weekend of October.
The Parador “Laguna” is a classic. There you can find craft beer, sodas, sandwiches, hamburgers and choripanes. It is located in a key place to enjoy the natural environment and a good sunset.
The lagoon is suitable for water sports such as: kiteboarding, windsurfing, kayaking, stand up, or paddle (non-motorized activities).

Bird watching is another classic of the historical reserve, making it ideal for ornithological tourism.
The reserve has basic amenities such as sanitary facilities, shaded places in summer, drinking water (reverse osmosis plant), trash cans, internal roads in good condition, well-defined paths, signage, sand volleyball court, games for children, natatorium, crosscountry track (pedestrianism), lighting, etc.
Another of the tourist activities that take place in the historical reserve is the Astrotourism, work carried out by the “Choique Group”.
In this sense, the Bragado natural historical reserve constitutes an excellent place to enjoy the outdoors in contact with nature, with family or friends.
