Radio Ö1 reports. The reason given in the report by Daniela Kraus, General Secretary of the Concordia Press Club, was that “here falsehoods are insinuated, people are incited, science is badly denounced”. This is happening “a radicalization and imbalance that is harmful to our society”. At the press club, letters from members and worried media consumers increased because of the coverage by ServusTV, said Kraus.
Wrong vaccination facts
The weekly column “Der Wegscheider” by station manager Ferdinand Wegscheider has been particularly criticized. According to a fact check by Profil magazine, he is said to have made false claims about the corona vaccination in three cases, including that the vaccination for children was inadequately tested or approved by emergency approval, which is not true at least for Europe.
In the complaint, the Concordia press club criticizes the fact that Servus-TV does not comply with the rules for private broadcasters in its corona reporting, according to which news must be checked for truth and origin with the care required under the circumstances.
