Nowadays, she prefers to spend her special day “with the family and sometimes with friends,” as she tells in an interview with spot on news. “What my husband cooks is always on the table,” she adds quite simply.
“Celebrating” was the solution
Birthdays on Christmas Eve are a little more challenging for children. In Kriener’s case it doesn’t seem to have been that bad. “My birthday was celebrated in the morning, and then Christmas in the later afternoon, on Christmas Eve,” she remembers. “My parents simply carved out part of the day for me. I never had the feeling that I was missing anything,” says the native of North Rhine-Westphalia. She really made peace with what was actually only half a birthday at the moment “when I was old enough to be able to celebrate my birthday.”
And the popular actress didn’t just party, she describes a particularly memorable experience on December 24th as follows: “It was dancing at night on Christmas Eve in Brazil on the beach, with my friend Barbara. We all wore elk antlers and Santa hats on our heads. “

Her personal assessment for 2023 isn’t all that bad: “2023 is an extremely crisis-ridden year for the world, frightening and terribly sad. And yet for me personally it was a happy year.” And that could continue in the coming year, because: “I’m currently filming a comedy with the working title ‘Everyone’s Not Close’. And I hope that the audience will have as much fun watching it as I do especially during filming,” she enthuses.
