He will celebrate New Year’s Eve at home. Frank Zander is picking himself up again, even if he was only able to attend his big charity dinner for the homeless via video message.
The Berlin entertainer Frank Zander (81) has an operation on his head in January, but according to his son’s description, he is in a pretty good mood. “He can celebrate New Year’s Eve at home,” Marcus Zander told the German Press Agency on Thursday. “Yesterday was the first time he wanted a beer.” His “Vadder” also painted a new picture – that is also a good sign for his son.
Zander will be operated on at the Berlin Charité on January 5th. “We are confident that it will happen again.” According to the son, the diagnosis is hydrocephalus, which is a build-up of brain fluid.
Last Friday, the pop star’s family organized the big traditional Christmas dinner for the homeless and needy at the Hotel Estrel for the first time since the end of the corona pandemic. Zander Senior welcomed the guests via video message.
