- 2 cups of flour
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butterat room temperature.
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Ricotta filling
- 500 grams of ricotta
- 1 cup of sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons of flour

Elaboration
For the mass

In a big boat, beat the butter and sugar until you get one smooth and creamy mixture.
Add the eggs one by one, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and mix.
In another boat, sift the flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add the flour mix with the butter and mix until well combined.
Transfer the dough to the cake pan and spread it evenly on the bottom.
For the ricotta filling

In a bowl, mix the ricotta with the sugarthe eggshe vanilla extractthe lemon zest and the flour. Mix until smooth.

Pour the ricotta mixture over the dough in the mold.

Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 50-60 minutesor until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let the cake cool in the pan for about 15 minutes. before transferring it to a rack to cool completely.
