The direction of the project produced by Warner Bros and Legendary will fall to the filmmaker Jared Hesswho worked with Black in 2006, with the film “Nacho Libre.”
Production is expected to begin imminently in New Zealand and is scheduled for theatrical release on April 4, 2025.
The plot of the film is not clear, nor is it clear who is in charge of writing the script. The film version of the video game has been in development for years, and featured Shawn Levy, Rob McElhenney and Peter Sollet as possible directors at different times.

Additionally, he returns to voice Po, the popular protagonist character from ”Kung Fu Panda”, for the fourth film in the franchise.
