His house was spared: Heino spoke about the flood damage in his home town of Bad Münstereifel. He was horrified.
Singer Heino (82) is shocked by the consequences of the flood disaster in western Germany. Especially the pictures from his hometown Bad Münstereifel, in which the crossing Erft caused great damage, cause concern for the pop star.
“I am very shaken,” he said. At first he was horrified and couldn’t even imagine it, said the 82-year-old, who has lived in Bad Münstereifel with his wife Hannelore (79) for 40 years. He remembered such images as a child from the war. “Many people will certainly die. It is very sad that there are such natural disasters today.”
His house is currently being renovated
According to RTL, Heino is currently renovating his house in Bad Münstereifel, the historic Kurhaus, and has been living in Kitzbühel, Austria for a year. He called home and had the pictures seen confirmed. His house was spared from the flood. “I have friends who have a bowl from my apartment. Everything is still as I know it because we are high up,” explains the musician. He hopes that it will end soon and that “a good mood will reappear in Bad Münstereifel”.
Bad Münstereifel is a town in the Euskirchen district in the south of North Rhine-Westphalia. The old town was almost completely destroyed by the flood disaster last week.
