Actress Juliette Binoche (59) posted a special greeting at the start of the year on Instagram. On January 6th, she published two pictures showing her with her American colleague Shirley MacLaine (89).

The two film icons apparently met for a friendly chat. The pictures show the two women sitting next to each other and laughing. “Wishing you all a Happy New Year 2024 with Shirley MacLaine”, .
It’s no wonder that the stars have a lot to tell each other: They both look back on many successful careers in the film business and are both Oscar winners. Binoche won the coveted best supporting actress award for The English Patient (1996), while MacLaine won best actress for The Time of Endearment (1983).
Both played Coco Chanel
And they have a real figure in common: they both embodied the French designer Coco Chanel (1983-1971). MacLaine played the fashion legend in the 2008 biopic “Coco Chanel”, Binoche’s portrayal in the Apple TV+ series “The New Look” can be seen from February 14th. Last year, the 59-year-old said in an interview with Variety: “There were ten great scripts because there are ten episodes, and it will be like playing different roles because we see them at different stages of their lives will show.”
