The stylists probably didn’t coordinate: Margot Robbie and Emily Blunt came to the red carpet in almost identical dresses.
For once, “Barbie” star Margot Robbie (33) chose a black instead of pink dress at the Governors Awards in Los Angeles. But that meant she accidentally partnered another actress: “Oppenheimer” actress Emily Blunt (40) appeared at the awards ceremony on Tuesday (January 9) in an almost identical look.

The two actresses each wore black, tight-fitting, floor-length gowns with silver embellishments at the neckline. Robbie’s dress from Celine had side cut-outs in addition to the silver decorations on the neckline, while Blunt’s Miu Miu dress had silver decorations on the neckline and in the form of a choker around the neck.
The two blondes also combined similar pieces when it came to jewelry: Robbie wore diamond waterfall earrings from Fred Leighton, while Blunt wore silver hanging earrings from the jewelry house Tiffany.
Margot Robbie and Emily Blunt already competed with each other at the Golden Globes last Sunday (January 7th) – although not with their looks on the red carpet, but with their respective top films of the year. Robbie’s “Barbie” was nominated a total of nine times, but only took home two awards. “Oppenheimer,” in which Blunt can be seen, shone and won awards in five of eight nominated categories.
Angela Bassett honored at Governors Awards
The Governors Awards are an annual awards ceremony held by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since 2009 and were previously part of the actual Academy Awards. Three lifetime achievement awards are given to filmmakers every year. Due to the SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike, the awards were held in January instead of November. Among others, actress Angela Bassett (65) and actor Mel Brooks (97) were honored with an Academy Honorary Award.
