At the premiere of the action film “Fast & Furious 9”, the late leading actor Paul Walker was also remembered: his daughter Meadow came to his honor on the red carpet. And his colleague Vin Diesel stirred a post in advance.
Meadow Walker attended the film premiere of “Fast & Furious 9” in Los Angeles in honor of her late father. The 22-year-old appeared on the red carpet in a black dress by Yves Saint Laurent and posed for photos with the main actor Vin Diesel. Her father Paul Walker also played a leading role in the auto racing action flick until 2013. However, he died at the age of only 40 – in a car accident of all places.
But not only their presence reminded of Paul Walker, his colleague Vin Diesel also honored his friend. He posted an old photo of himself and Walker on Instagram in advance and wrote: “On the way to the premiere. You will be there in spirit.” The two stood together in front of the camera for the action saga for six films, while the accident happened during the filming of the seventh episode.
“Fast & Furious 10” is already being planned
Back then, Walker’s brothers Caleb and Cody Walker stepped in as a double to complete the film. “We stopped filming ‘Furious 7’ for about five months because while we were grieving we were wondering what to do now,” Vin Diesel recently told E! News. ” The studio allowed a brave decision at the time, and let Walker’s role in the franchise live on. Walker’s character Brian O’Conner does not die in the series, but begins a new life with his girlfriend and their son.
In the same interview, Diesel also fueled rumors that Meadow Walker might follow in her father Paul’s footsteps and take on a role in the franchise. “I wouldn’t rule anything out,” he replied to a relevant question. “Without revealing all of the Furious 10 secrets, I would say anything is possible.” Vin Diesel and Paul Walker were close friends, the 53-year-old is also the godfather of Walker’s daughter Meadow.
In Germany, the theatrical release of “Fast & Furious 9” was announced for July 8th. Due to the coronavirus, the German premiere was postponed by a week, the film should be shown from July 15, 2021.
