Under the name of “The Collection of Sir Elton John: Goodbye Peachtree Road”he February 21st will start with 50 lots the series of eight auctions which will include works of art and design objects of what was the singer’s residence in atlanta, USAwhich will be exhibited at the headquarters of NY from the auction house from February 9.

Among the works to be auctioned are “Male nude” (1987), by the pop artist Andy Warholcomposed of four identical photographs sewn together with an estimated value between US$30,000 and US$50,000; same amount as a grand piano yamaha from 1992 or photography “Smoke” (1958) taken by William Klein for the Parisian fashion magazine Vogue.
Other pieces are silver leather platform boots with the letters E and J in red, sunglasses and a Rolex “Leopard” in gold with 48 diamonds and 36 orange sapphireseither colorful 19th century European chairs.
There will also be auctioned a 18th century costume conceived by award-winning designer Sandy Powell for the 47th. birthday of the musician, who has in his collection silk shirts Versace -of whom he was a friend-, glass objects and one of the largest private photography collections in the world.

The highest lot is the triptych “Flower Thrower Triptych” (2010) Banksyacquired by the musician in 2017 that goes from US$1,000,000 US$1,500,000followed by a work of Keith Haring (1958-1990) made in 1982 between US$300,000 and US$500,000.
Among the photographs stand out, Robert Mapplethorpe (1946-1989), “Grapes” (1985), with an estimate between US$50,000 and US$70,000and the shocking “Nastassja Kinski and the Serpent” (1981), from Richard Avedonwith an estimate between US$60,000 and US$80,000which was donated by the photographer’s studio to the Elton John Aids Foundation in May 1996, ABC reported.
Others are from Irving Penn and Herb Ritts or the provocateur “Two Heads”of Ryan McGinleywith a snake coiled around a man’s genitals, the auction house highlights.
