Born in Quilmes, Camila Del Coco reflects on the complexities of achieving success in the world of marketing on the other side of the Atlantic.

Camila’s routine is executed with precision, recognizing that each movement can tip the balance of an advertising campaign towards success or failure. Armed with a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA), she has made her mark at Nestlé, Sodimac and Frubis before taking the opportunity to study Marketing and Business Management at the EAE Business School in Barcelona in 2018.

Starting as an intern at Starcom, an international media agency, Camila faced the challenge of entering a completely new and different job market than the Argentine one. Rising from Brand Executive Intern to Global Digital Operations Senior Manager, she played a crucial role in opening new markets for Puig, a conglomerate of international fashion and luxury brands. In 2022, she joined Havas Media International, where she currently manages global campaigns for an airline company operating throughout Europe and some countries in Africa and the Middle East.

Skilled at handling dynamic clients, Camila highlights the importance of creativity, innovative thinking, and staying on top of industry trends. She advises marketing professionals to understand the needs and behaviors of their target audience and stresses the importance of effective communication and teamwork in the ever-changing field of marketing.

“Depending on the purpose of the campaign and the advertiser, it is important to develop the ability to think ‘outside the box’ so that an advertising campaign positively surprises the target audience. The audience is exposed all day, all the time, to advertisements and brands: to stand out as an advertiser, you have to go out of the ordinary. This is how Camila has managed to carry out innovative campaigns through supports on public roads that were not yet so exploited in the sector, leaving a positive image and brand recognition to the target audience of each of her clients.

To mention one of her most recent activations, approximately 6 months ago, on the occasion of the 2023 Rugby World Cup based in Paris, Camila has planned an activation on board a commercial airplane, where passengers participated in activities, won prizes and They even met and took photos with a professional player from the “XV de France” – as the French call the men’s national Rugby team – who was a guest at the event on board. The activation has been so successful and innovative that this campaign was even echoed locally in the French press.

Among the many campaigns to highlight in Camila’s professional career, we also mention some carried out in Paris and London with “mobile” means, such as classic taxis, bicycles with LED screens and public transport, which generate a great brand recall in addition to a reach greater than static media, due to being in constant movement around the cities.
