The British series was a huge success on Netflix. The current season 6 should also be the last. But series creator Steven Knight delivered good news for fans: The gang will continue to cause a stir on Birmingham’s streets on cinema screens in the future. The scripts are already ready. And: In addition to the planned feature film, there will also be spin-offs.
Netflix has now announced that filming for the “Peaky Blinders” movie is scheduled to start in mid-2024.

What is the series about?
Peaky Blinders is a British drama series that tells the story of the crime gang of the same name. Led by Thomas Shelby, they control Birmingham in the 1920s and 1930s. They consolidate their influence over the city through bribery, violence, blackmail and illegal trade. Thomas Shelby is played by Cillian Murphy, the lead actor in Christopher Nolan’s drama “Oppenheimer”, which won five Golden Globes.
