US actor John Goodman (69, “The Big Lebowski”) can hardly be recognized in new photos. The star, who became famous through the sitcom “Roseanne”, is said to have lost almost 90 kilograms.

What has led to the so-called yo-yo effect at Goodman in the past is the fact that he relied on crash diets without changing his habits. Having previously lost a good 30 kilograms within three months. However, he then rewarded himself with “a six-pack” or something similar and resumed his “old habits”.

Simple “portion control”

After the 69-year-old had reached his personal limit in 2010 with just under 180 kilograms, he finally began to change his habits – initially by reducing the number of his meals. “It was basically just portion control … I just put everything in my mouth,” said Goodman in 2018, recalling the time before his transformation.

Rigid sports program and healthy diet

In 2016, he allegedly had already lost 45 kilos, but not enough for the actor. a personal trainer, expanded his exercise program and made sure he could take just under 10,000 steps a day. Goodman’s training plan accordingly: Six times a week, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, 40 minutes of cardio training – completed by occasional strength units.

Last but not least, he is said to have changed his diet, away from fast food and Co. to fish, olive oil, vegetables, nuts and fruits.

The Hollywood star, who has been immortalized with a star on the Walk of Fame since 2013, has also had professional successes in recent years to be happy. After the Golden Globe winner already won an Emmy in 2007 for his role in the drama series “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip”, he also received a Screen Actor’s Guild Award in 2012 for his performance in Ben Affleck’s (49) thriller “Argo” take home.
