For the first time in three years, celebrities from the German film industry are meeting again for the German Film Ball in the Bavarian capital.
With much praise and appreciation for the film industry, the head of the Bavarian State Chancellery, Florian Herrmann (CSU), opened the 48th German Film Ball in Munich. “You don’t depend on us, we depend on you,” said Herrmann. It is the works of art by creative people that make it possible to laugh, be amazed and think together.
After his speech, Herrmann, who stepped in at short notice for Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU), opened the dance floor for the over 1,000 guests together with his wife.
After a three-year break, celebrities from the German film industry met again for the film ball for the first time at the invitation of the leading organization of the film industry. Guests included the actresses Veronica Ferres and Uschi Glas as well as the actors Moritz Bleibtreu and Jan Josef Liefers.
The Bavarian Film Prize ceremony had already taken place in Munich on Friday evening. “Girl You Know It’s True” was named best film. Veronica Ferres received the honorary award from Prime Minister Söder.
