The 10 best movies and series of 2021, according to the American Film Institute

Although the winners are already known, the awards ceremony will take place on January 7 in Los Angeles and this announcement gives the starting point to the awards season (last year 6 of the 10 films in this top were nominated for an Oscar ).

The selection of the best of the year is made by a jury of the AFI which includes artists, critics, scholars and trustees of the American Film Institute, a non-profit organization whose mission is to educate and honor the heritage of the cinematographic arts in the United States.

According to them, the best movie of all 2021 is “CODA”, a musical drama directed by Sian Heder based on french “La familia Aries” about an adolescent daughter of deaf parents with the gift of singing.
