Disruption in Germany’s most popular television series “Tatort”: At the beginning of the crime thriller “Zerrissen” there is music to be heard, but no voices. Nevertheless, the crime thriller is the ratings winner.
Despite a minute-long sound breakdown, “Tatort” was by far the most successful primetime program on Sunday evening. 8.39 million (28.0 percent) tuned in to the “Torn” case on the first from 8:15 p.m. This time the TV detectives Thorsten Lannert (Richy Müller) and Sebastian Bootz (Felix Klare) had to investigate the fatal attack on a jeweler.
For almost nine minutes there was a nationwide problem with the playback of the Dolby Surround multi-channel sound system. As a result, the channel on which the voices and dialogues can be heard was disrupted in the first minutes of the Stuttgart crime thriller. Later in the evening, the talk show “Caren Miosga” got off to a good start: 4.40 million (18.4 percent) wanted to see the new format from 9:45 p.m.
The ZDF drama series “A Summer in the Black Forest” with Wanda Perdelwitz and Tobias Licht received 5.06 million (16.9 percent). The RTL reality show “I’m a star – get me out of here!”, at the end of which model Cora Schumacher’s departure was announced, was wanted by 4.10 million (13.3 percent). The romantic comedy “Self is the Bride” with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds was shown on Sat.1 and was chosen by 1.38 million (4.9 percent).
ProSieben broadcast the American science fiction film “Star Wars: Rogue One” with Felicity Jones, Diego Luna and Ben Mendelsohn – 1.30 million (4.9 percent) sat in front of the television. Kabel Eins had the professional documentary “Trucker Babes – 400 HP in women’s hands” to offer, and 900,000 people (3.1 percent) spent the evening with it.
The US action thriller “96 Hours” with Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace and Famke Janssen was shown on RTLzwei, and 810,000 film fans (2.7 percent) chose it. The Vox documentary soap “Hot or Schrott – Celebrity Special” with presenter Katja Burkard and handball world champion Pascal Hens as guest testers had 720,000 viewers (3.0 percent).
