Michelle Trachtenberg (38) defends herself against speculation about her health. A few days ago, the former “Buffy” actress had , in which she posed with Alexa Vega (35), another ex-child star. But instead of encouragement, she receives concerned comments. The 38-year-old is hardly recognizable in the picture.
“Michelle, you look sick. Are you okay?” writes a follower named cathy_critz about the picture. Other fans explicitly mention the actress’ “yellow eyes, hair loss and sunken facial features.” They recommend that she go to the doctor. Others speculate about cosmetic surgery.
“I’m not 14, I’m 38”
Michelle Trachtenberg doesn’t want to let the comments sit there. “Please explain to me why I look sick? Haven’t you noticed I’m not 14. I’m 38,” she replies to cathy_critz’s comment. “How sad for you to leave such a comment,” she continues.
But her followers don’t let up. They are particularly concerned about the yellowish color of their eyes. They encourage Trachtenberg, in a very benevolent tone, to have her liver examined.
“Why do you hate me?”
Michelle Trachtenberg responded to this with an Instagram post. “I’ve received several comments about my appearance lately.” “I’ve never had plastic surgery, I’m happy and healthy,” she insists. “Question yourself, haters,” she shoots.
Finally, Michelle Trachtenberg shares a selfie with almost no makeup. “Fun Fact: This is my face. No malnutrition, no problems. Why do you hate me?”
“Not everything and everyone is hateful,” counters one follower. “Sometimes people are actually worried.”
From “Buffy” to “Gossip Girl”
Michelle Trachtenberg was already in front of the camera for commercials at the age of three. After roles in the sitcom “Pete & Pete”, among others, she played the younger sister of the title heroine played by Sarah Michelle Gellar (46) in “Buffy – The Vampire Slayer”.
The daughter of German and Russian immigrants was later seen in various series, mostly in guest roles. Trachtenberg had a larger part in “Gossip Girl” and she was also in the 2022 revival.
