Oppenheimer and Barbie’s Oscar nominations
Oppenheimer earned nominations for Best Picture, Best Director (Christopher Nolan), Best Actor (Cillian Murphy), Best Supporting Actress (Emily Blunt), Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr), Photography, Costume Design, Editing, Original Music, Hair and Makeup, Production Design, Sound and Adapted Screenplay.
Barbie counted nominations for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Ryan Gosling), Best Supporting Actress (America Ferrara), Costume Design and two nominations for Original Song: “I’m Just Ken” and “What Was I Made For?” of Billie Eilish and Finneas O’ConnellProduction Design and Adapted Script.
Notably Barbie did not have the second most nominations this morning behind Oppenheimer. Ahead of the Mattel film was Poor Thingsfrom Searchlight, with 11 Oscar nominations, and Killers of the Flower Moonfrom Apple Original Films, with ten.
