HBO Max will become Max and offers new subscription plans

Existing subscribers will retain the price and features of their current plan for a limited time following the launch of Max.

Warner Bros. Discovery announced the launch date of its streaming platform Max in Latin America for next February 27. After his arrival in the United States last May, the launch of Max in Latin America will mark the beginning of his international deployment and the farewell of HBO Max.

Max will bring to Latin America a new streaming experience that in its first months after its launch will have a catalog with more than 37,000 hours of content, more than double the amount currently found in HBO Max. It is a more robust platform with more customization features, which will invite consumers to find their favorite stories or discover a new passion.

What can be seen in Max

In Max you will find the variety of content from the extensive family of iconic Warner Bros. Discovery brands in Latin America, among which stand out HBO, Warner Bros., the DC universe, Discovery, Discovery Home & Health, ID, Cartoon Network, Discovery Kids, and Adult Swimfeaturing the franchises most beloved by fans around the world, including game of Thronesthe magical world of Harry Potter, The Big Bang TheoryDC superheroes, characters from Looney Tunes, Rick & Morty, Naked Survival and 90 Day Fiancéamong other.

The platform’s content proposal will include the first exhibition sale of films from major studios such as Sony Pictures and NBCUniversalas well as live events, including “Awards Season” and local original productions developed alongside the talented community of Latin American creators and artists.

Max’s plans

Max will offer 3 plans

for new subscribers at the time of launch, each of them with a monthly or annual payment option, an option that will have savings of up to 40% (**), when the subscription is made directly through Max.

  • Basic Plan with Ads:
  • This plan will allow users to enjoy the Max catalog at a lower price, and will include advertising.
  • Content can be viewed on two devices simultaneously.
  • The content will be available in full HD resolution.

The monthly subscription will cost AR$ 2,190 + VAT and the annual subscription will cost AR$ 15,990 + VAT at the time of launch.

  • Standard Plan:
  • Content can be viewed on two devices simultaneously.
  • The content will be available in full HD resolution.
  • This plan will allow up to 30 downloads of content available to view without an internet connection.

The monthly subscription will cost AR$ 2,890 + VAT and the annual subscription will cost AR$ 20,990 + VAT at launch.

  • Platinum Plan:
  • It will provide the best experience for the consumer.
  • Content can be viewed on four devices simultaneously.
  • The content will be available in Full HD or 4K resolution and with Dolby Atmos sound, in the content where it is available.
  • Up to 100 downloads of content can be made available to view without an internet connection.

The monthly subscription will cost AR$ 3,490 + VAT and the annual subscription will cost AR$ 24,990 pesos + VAT at the time of launch.With this launch, HBO Max will become Max

. Current HBO Max subscribers, both those who have subscribed directly to the platform or those who subscribe through a third party that markets subscriptions to the platform, will have access to Max from the day it launches.

Existing subscribers will retain the price and features of their current plan for a limited time following the launch of Max. Those who have subscribed directly to HBO Max and have the 50% introductory offer, billed through HBO Max, will retain the discount as long as they comply with the terms and conditions of that promotion.
