What is the Highlander franchise about?
The Highlander saga revolved around a group of immortal beings, known as Highlanders, led by Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert in the original saga), who discovers that he is immortal after what should have been a fatal wound suffered in a battle during the 16th century. Connor must battle fellow immortals throughout history, absorbing the power of those he decapitates in a process known as Quickening. The goal is to be the last man standing.
