Finding an apartment in Berlin is not easy. Actor Devid Striesow had to experience this firsthand.
According to his own words, actor Devid Striesow searched in vain for a new apartment in Berlin for two years. “We were expecting new blood in 2022, which is why it was necessary for us to expand,” the 50-year-old told the daily newspaper “BZ”. But Berlin is so short of apartments that they couldn’t find an adequate one to rent. According to Striesow, the actor and his family now live in Vienna, where it is cheaper.
Does he miss something about Berlin? “I sometimes miss both the brittleness and the excitement of Berlin, as does my wife. We lived very centrally in Mitte, looking directly at the TV tower,” said Striesow, who was born on the island of Rügen and grew up in Rostock.
