Is the Pocher War of the Roses over? In an interview with Sandy Meyer-Wölden, Oliver Pocher surprisingly admits that he is looking forward to peace and quiet.
The Pochers have been dominating the headlines for months. But that could soon be over (at least for now). Because apparently everyone involved is longing for some peace in the midst of the public separation mudslinging. In the latest episode of the Podimo podcast “The Pochers! Freshly Recycled”, Oliver Pocher (45) strikes a surprisingly conciliatory tone in a conversation with ex-wife Sandy Meyer-Wölden (40) and also announces a short break for February.
Meyer-Wölden criticizes Pocher’s harsh choice of words
It was above all the comedy star who repeatedly teased his estranged wife Amira Pocher (31) after the separation announced in August, thereby fueling the reporting. While she hardly commented on the private events, he is known to have processed everything in his stage program “Der Liebeskasper” and also commented diligently on his Instagram account. There was now a clear rebuke of this from his first wife Sandy. He used his cell phone and Instagram as a “weapon” and “shot” with them. She finds some of his postings and his choice of words “not okay”. “Olli, I have to scold you a bit.”
She recalled that she always tells her children: “Words have a consequence.” And Oliver Pocher in particular, who is in the public eye and has 1.7 million followers, has a great responsibility. “Many people pay close attention to your choice of words.” If he overshoots the mark, that should also be criticized. “Your choice of words can be hurtful and disrespectful.”
Oliver Pocher would like more discretion from everyone involved
But it is positive that Pocher can accept criticism and listen. “I’m glad there’s been progress and insight on your part.” After all, he is “far from” perfect. She emphasized how good it was that he had deleted an offensive post about Christian Düren (33). Photos of the presenter and Amira Pocher from their vacation together in South Africa emerged, which drove the comedian up in arms.
Oliver Pocher continues to say that he finds these photos “unpleasant” and that he would like more “discretion”. Nevertheless, he admitted that he “perhaps exaggerated” some of his comments. However, one should not forget that he delivers “entertainment” on stage and makes statements that he might not make in an interview. This is partly “extreme entertainment” that some people might not like. Ultimately, it’s his way of processing things. “I react to situations very authentically.”
He sends “only the best” to Cora Schumacher
He also briefly spoke about the alleged affair with Cora Schumacher (47). He protested against their idea that he himself might have spread the information in order to sell more tickets for his tour. He did not admit or deny the rumors of a flirtation. However, he emphasized that there was not a single photo of the two of them. “I have known Cora for 18 years, I wish her nothing but the best for herself and her life.”
Sandy Meyer-Wölden also wishes only the best. “I’m not on either side and I’m neutral like Switzerland. If anything, I’m calm in the team. There has to be calm.” She reminded them that they are, after all, a blended family. And for the sake of the children, she hopes that things will now be different. Oliver Pocher agreed, although he also stated that he could no longer hear the “children’s shit”. But he is also happy that he will have his last appearance with “Liebeskasper” on January 29th in Münster and that things will then “be a little quieter”. You have to “pull the plug out a little bit”. In February there will definitely be some peace and quiet as he doesn’t have so many appointments and is flying to Miami to visit his ex-wife next week. Meyer-Wölden announced that he would then take good care of him: “You’ll get a healthy meal, we’ll do a little exercise and you can sleep in. Because I think you need sleep.”
