Compliment for his music and an apology: Britney Spears sends conciliatory words to Justin Timberlake on Instagram.
Britney Spears (42) made a surprising statement about her ex Justin Timberlake (42). First without directly naming the musician, she wrote in the post: “I would like to apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I have hurt someone I really care about, I am deeply sorry sorrow.”
She then added directly to the *NSYNC star: “I also wanted to say that I love Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish’. It’s soo good and how come every time I hear Justin and Jimmy together see, laugh so hard?” In the posting, Spears published a clip of Timberlake and US presenter Jimmy Fallon (49), in which the two of them perform some Timberlake hits on rattle, triangle and co. together with musicians. Spears concluded in her text with a starry eye emoji about another new song by Timberlake: “‘Sanctified’ is wow too.”
Britney Spears and her former “Mickey Mouse Club” colleague Justin Timberlake were a couple from 1999 to 2002. Spears’ autobiography “The Woman in Me”, which was published in October last year, drew the hatred of the Britney ultras towards Timberlake. In the book, the singer had revealed that Timberlake cheated on her during their three-year relationship. He is also said to have impregnated her and then persuaded her to have an abortion because he did not want to become a father yet. The shitstorm became so big that Timberlake, who has been married to Jessica Biel (41) since 2012, had to temporarily deactivate his Instagram account.

Most recently, fans reacted to Timberlake’s new single “Selfish” in a special way. Fake news spread on social media that Spears was set to release her new single “Selfish” on January 25th, after which the song made it into the charts and was supposed to be a “competition” to Justin Timberlake. The song of the same name actually comes from Britney Spears, but is already 13 years old. The song appeared on the deluxe version of Spears’ 2011 album Femme Fatale. Justin Timberlake’s “Selfish” was actually released on January 25th. After a six-year break, the music star has also announced a new solo studio album for March 15th.
