The stamp, of which a circulation of ten million was printed, is included in the series “Characters” Post Office and shows a photograph of the singer along with his signature, the image of a record and the legend “Nino Bravo (1944-1973)”.


The objective of this initiative is, according to the Correos statement, to spread “the essence of the legendary Spanish singer and the musical history that he left as a legacy, on the 50th anniversary of the fateful accident that ended his life.”
Nino Bravo, a star who left too soon
Luis Manuel Ferri Llopis, the artist’s real name, was born on August 3, 1944 and began singing when he was just 15 years old. For a decade he participated in different musical groups until, in 1969, he officially appeared as Nino Bravo at the Teatro Principal in Valencia.
His success came with “I love you I love you”with which he released his first LP, and later with songs like “A kiss and a flower”, “Free”, “Noelia” and “America”.
On April 16, 1973, when he was recording his fifth album, he died at the age of 28 in a traffic accident in Villarrubio.
