German rolls, the Alps, the North Sea… Bushido misses all of that in Dubai. But it’s a price he’s happy to pay, says the rapper.
Rapper Bushido has been living in Dubai for about a year and a half – but he misses a lot of things from Germany there. “I miss the Berlin kebab,” said the rapper, whose real name is Anis Mohamed Ferchichi, to the German Press Agency. “When I’m in Berlin, the first thing I do is: I immediately go to the kebab shop and get a kebab.”
There is more that the family is longing for: “We also miss the German baking tradition, which is missing here: rolls, bread, black bread.” The 45-year-old also misses German nature – the forests, the Alps, the two seas. “I miss all of that. But nonetheless, it’s a price that I’m happy to pay for the life we’ve been able to lead here for a year and a half.”
Most recently he hit the headlines because of several court cases in Germany. A year and a half ago he moved to the Arab Emirate of Dubai with his family. He and his wife Anna-Maria have seven children. She also has a son from her first marriage. Bushido will perform in Berlin on March 21st for the first time in eight years as part of his “King Forever” tour.
