Before “Bilderbuch” performed today in the Doug Fir Lounge in Portland, the Kremsmünster pop quartet presented a new song yesterday with “Between Your World and My World”.
“The song is about a long-distance relationship and we are currently touring the USA, so the song fits in well,” says frontman Maurice Ernst. The song underlines the relevant picture book sound and thus has hit potential.
Backstage awe
Meanwhile, the band’s US tour is developing splendidly. After appearances in clubs in Washington, Boston, Chicago and Seattle, the concert series now leads to San Francisco, Los Angeles (“Fonda Theater”) and Austin, where the 14 gigs at Empire will be concluded. The reactions to the picture book show are reportedly great. When you see the stickers from the Rolling Stones and Red Hot Chili Peppers backstage – for example in the “9:30 Club” in Washington – even the otherwise ultra-cool Kremsmünster people are awestruck.
After their return, the release of the seventh studio album “Gelb ist das Feld” is waiting for the band on March 25th. The tour will start on April 8th in the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, stops on April 21st will be the Great Festival Hall in Salzburg and the home game the next day in the Brucknerhaus. (att)
