Janni Hönscheid and Peer Kusmagk: Suddenly they are drawn to the north

Will presenter Peer Kusmagk (48) and former professional surfer Janni Hönscheid (33) leave Mallorca again? They have been living on the Spanish island since the end of 2021, have moved there a few times and never seem to have really arrived. Now they have a completely new destination in mind: Denmark.

The couple and their three children are currently on vacation in the country. As Janni Hönscheid revealed, there are also some property viewings on the program. They have already taken a close look at the first houses. The 33-year-old particularly liked a courtyard. “It was so idyllic and beautiful.” It is not yet clear whether the family will actually move completely from Mallorca to Denmark. “If we really find a house that appeals to us, it could happen relatively quickly. But even then we haven’t decided yet whether it will just be a summer house and we will travel in the winter, or whether we will move here completely,” she shared in one Question and answer session with. “Everything is open and we are excited.”

However, the longing for Mallorca is not particularly great at the moment. Her current home on the popular holiday island right on the beach no longer feels like home because a mold problem has arisen there. The family had moved several times on the island since emigrating at the end of 2021 because the living situation was not suitable. So they initially lived on a rented finca where there was no heating and the electricity frequently went out. They had already tried out various accommodations in Germany – from a house with a large garden to an 80 square meter apartment.

Now there could be another big change for the family. “Peer and I are sleeping very little at the moment and are constantly organizing. But for the first time in a long time I feel really confident and alive again,” admitted Janni Hönscheid. She is looking forward to the future. In any case, one thing is certain for them: “We don’t want to live in such a hotspot again, where many people have holiday homes and everything is in a small space and there is so little going on.”

They met on a reality show in 2016

Peer Kusmagk and Janni Hönscheid have had turbulent years behind them. Starting with their meeting, which took place in front of the camera and naked in 2016 in the third season of the reality show “Adam sucht Eva – Stranded in Paradies” on RTL. The couple married a year later in a Buddhist ceremony and had three children. Son Emil Ocean was born at the beginning of August 2017, daughter Yoko was born in July 2019, followed by son Merlin in September 2021.
