US rock star Lenny Kravitz (“Are You Gonna Go My Way”) says he feels a new form of love for his ex-wife Lisa Bonet. “She is a part of my life that will never leave my heart,” the 59-year-old told US magazine People. “I am who I am because of our experiences.”
The actress Bonet (56, “Bill Cosby Show”) and the singer were married from 1987 to 1993 and have a daughter, actress and model Zoë Kravitz (35). The time they spent together was “wonderful,” said Kravitz, who had already spoken in previous interviews about his good relationship with his daughter’s mother. “I was married to the most beautiful woman on the planet, incredible inside and out.”
After their separation, both of them “consciously” worked on their feelings for each other, which “took them some time,” explained Kravitz. “Love does not leave you, but it must find a new way to pour out into a new life.”
