“La Mañana arises from the same place from which almost all my songs emerge, which paradoxically are very different from each other. This has a striking and novel tone, pop, accessible, friendly and optimistic but deep and reflective with a hint of bitterness. It synthesizes something that constantly challenges me: falling in love, heartbreak, clarity and confusion, the melancholy that exists in what is perishable but instantaneous and infinite,” says Galean about his composition.
“The collaboration with Chechi De Marcos It arose very spontaneously, we have a bond of mutual respect and she is a colleague whom I admire a lot for her simplicity and depth. That is what I tried to capture in La Mañana and her contribution is very profound and significant,” she said.
What is Galean?
Galean It is the solo project of Rodrigo Lalli Galeanmusician, producer, composer and poet born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1993. Previously he was part of Aloe, today a cult band in the Argentine independent scene, participating in festivals such as Lollapalooza and opening for artists like Thundercat and Glass Animals. He toured Argentina and Europe.
Currently Galean is fully dedicated to his solo project while working as a producer and composer for other artists on the Buenos Aires and Latin American scene.
His music has been cataloged by the press as heir to the sound of Luis Alberto Spinetta. With a clear tinge of Psychedelic Folk, Experimental Indie Pop and Latin American Sound, Galean is defined by his constant search, reinventing himself with every step he takes.
It has 3 albums “Tejiendo La Marea” (2016); “The Magician” (2019); “Pasado Mañana” (2021) 6 Ep’s and a dozen singles between 2022 and 2023. He has collaborated with artists from LATAM such as Juan Mango from You Signemelo, FERMIN, Ramona (MX), Esmeralda Escalante from Ainda, Clara Trucco from Femina and Luiza Brina (BR), among others.
Galean is finishing his next LP that will be released in mid-2024 titled “On the other side of the stained glass window” and which promises to be his most complete work to date, with collaborations and audiovisual proposals that stand out widely. The album will be accompanied by a tour of Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico.
