With “Midnights,” the 34-year-old won in the main category on Sunday evening in Los Angeles for the fourth time, following awards for “Fearless,” “1989” and “Folklore.” Swift left behind Paul Simon, Frank Sinatra and Stevie Wonder, who each won three awards in the category.

“Flowers”: Miley Cyrus beat out high-profile competition

Miley Cyrus won the coveted Grammy for Record of the Year. The 31-year-old received the award for her hit “Flowers”. She beat out high-profile competition such as Taylor Swift (“Anti-Hero”) and Olivia Rodrigo (“Vampire”). Meanwhile, Austrian Markus Illko won in the “Best Arrangement Instrumental” category. Together with Tommy Emmanuel and John Carter Cash, among others, he has created a newly interpreted version of the Johnny Cash classic “Folsom Prison Blues”.

Swift, who is attracting millions of fans and earning record sums with her “Eras Tour,” had recently announced her new album “The Torted Poets Department” for April 19th. “I’m going to tell you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years. My brand new album is coming out on April 19th. It’s called ‘The Torted Poets Department,'” Swift said on Sunday evening (local time) at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. Swift had recently won one of the coveted music awards in the Best Pop Vocal Album category for her current record “Midnights”.

“Department of Tortured Poets”

“The Torted Poets Department” means something like “The Department for Tortured Poets” in German. The cover, which Swift published online at the same time, shows a black and white photo of a woman lying on a bed and a piece of paper with a lyric.

The Grammys are being presented for the 66th time this year. Around 13,000 members of the Recording Academy decide on the winners of the Golden Gramophones, which are one of the most coveted music prizes in the world and are awarded in 94 categories.
