Dieter Bohlen and Carina have been a couple for 18 years – but without a marriage license. Now the “pop titan” is making romantic hints.
Shortly before his 70th birthday, Dieter Bohlen revealed wedding plans. “Carina and I are going to get married,” said the singer, music producer and casting expert to the “Bild” newspaper (Monday). At first he wasn’t more specific.
“There is a fixed date – since the first day of our relationship. I gave her a specific year back then and said, if we are still together, I will trust you and marry you. The invitations have not been printed yet, but that date is coming soon .” Dieter Bohlen and Carina have been a couple for 18 years – but without a marriage license.
Bohen: The third marriage has to last
“You have to make me a real proposal again so that I marry you,” “Bild” quoted Bohlen’s partner, who is 30 years younger, from the interview. Bohlen comments: “I’m a burned child when it comes to getting married and I definitely don’t want to ruin another marriage. It would then be the third marriage and it has to last until the end of my life.” But: “I’m absolutely sure about Carina. For me, the world would collapse if we weren’t together anymore. I’m completely honest. It’s just nice with us.”
Bohlen praised his partner: “I’m really into it when you can rely on someone, even for little things. If I said to Carina, we’ll meet the day after tomorrow in Alaska at 1.40 p.m. at Scholle 17, Carina would be there, and already one half an hour ahead of time. Me too, of course.”
Bohlen celebrates his 70th birthday with a concert
This Wednesday Bohlen celebrates his 70th birthday with a concert in Berlin. “Every birthday is horror,” said the producer from Tötensen in Lower Saxony, who is often called “Pop Titan” in the media. “People call or text all day long and expect an answer. I’m actually on the phone all day. This year I don’t feel like doing that,” he said in the interview. “My concert organizer found a solution for not having to be at home: we have a birthday concert, then a little party, and everyone is happy.”
