US actress Felicity Huffman has hardly worked since being convicted of fraud and serving time in prison. She will soon be doing theater in London – and reflects on what happened in an interview.
Felicity Huffman is still processing her conviction for fraud in a college bribery scandal and subsequent incarceration. The Desperate Housewives actress told British newspaper The Guardian: “How I’m doing is kind of a difficult question. As long as my children are doing well and my husband is doing well, I feel like I’m doing well goes.”
Huffmann also said in the interview in the hall of the Park Theater in London, where she is currently rehearsing for the comedy “Hir” (performances from February 15th): “I’m grateful to be here. But how am I doing? I guess I’m still processing.”
Huffman had pleaded guilty to paying a $15,000 bribe to get her eldest daughter’s college entrance exam answers improved. A court in Boston convicted her of this in 2019. Among other things, Huffman had to be imprisoned for around two weeks.
According to the Guardian, she has hardly worked since then. The actress said in an interview that she had filmed a pilot film, but it didn’t become a series. “It was hard,” Huffman said. “Like your old life died and you died with it. I’m lucky enough to have a family and love and resources – so I had a place to end up.”
