When are the three new holidays for tourist purposes confirmed by the Government

The government of Javier Milei established holidays for tourism purposes for the year 2024. These additional days were planned to precede or follow the usual commemorative dates, during which work activities will also be suspended.

There are three holidays for tourist purposes: Monday, April 1 (in the run-up to April 2, Veteran’s Day and those who fell in the Malvinas War), Friday, June 21st (after the 20th, the day on which the Passage to Immortality of General Don Manuel Belgrano is commemorated) and Friday, October 11th (prior to the Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity).

In the recitals, it is emphasized that the implementation of these holidays has as its main objective counteract the negative effects of seasonality in the tourism industryseeking to more equitably distribute periods of high demand throughout the year.
