Last year she was even named the biggest polluter among stars because she uses her private jet so often. Student Jack Sweeney runs several social media accounts on which he tracks the flights on private jets of stars – including Taylor Swift. She now wants to take legal action against the accounts, as the Washington Post reports.
Jack Sweeney documents the takeoffs and landings of private jets on his accounts based on publicly available data from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and data from amateur aviation fans who can track aircraft signals. Swift has “no choice but to pursue all legal remedies” if he does not stop his “stalking and harassing behavior,” the Washington Post quotes from the letter.
Sweeney’s accounts caused “direct and irreparable harm, emotional and physical pain” to Swift and her family and increased her “constant state of fear for her personal safety,” the Washington Post reported.

Jack Sweeney, on the other hand, sees the letter as an attempt to stop him from sharing public data. The accounts provide only a partial sketch of the cities where Swift might be, the student told the Washington Post. “This information is already circulating,” he said. “Your team believes they can control the world.”

Taylor Swift has problems with stalkers as a pop star. Most recently, a man was charged with stalking and harassment after being arrested outside her home in New York. A spokeswoman for Swift confirmed a connection between the letter to Sweeney and the incidents in New York – without giving details.
