Each company would own one-third of the new media and would license its sports content on a non-exclusive basis. The service would have a new brand and an independent management team.
Fox Corp, ESPN of Walt Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery will create a sports streaming platform, the companies said in a statement on Tuesday.

What the new Disney, Fox and Warner Bros. platform will be like.
Each company would own one-third of the new media and would license its sports content on a non-exclusive basis. The service would have a new brand and an independent management team.
The concept comes as traditional media companies are grappling with the migration of sports — the latest television format to generate steady crowds and sustained ratings — to streaming venues.
Pricing will be announced at a later datebut the companies will likely set a monthly subscription that is more than a consumer would pay for an independent regional sports network, which costs $20 to $30 a month, and less than a larger digital programming package like Hulu+ Live. TV or YouTube TV, which costs between $75 and $80 a month.
The constitution of the streaming platform, which is scheduled to launch in the fall of 2024, is subject to the negotiation of agreements between the companies, they indicated.
The platform will be available through a new appaccording to the companies, which add that the service will have a new brand and an independent management team.
For now, It would only be in the USA and specific territoriesbut it may eventually reach the rest of the world, where the changes that the various platforms have applied are implemented little by little, when they work.
