Within the framework of the 24th annual Wine Star Awards gala -Premios Estrella del Vino- celebrated by Wine Enthusiast magazine, The Cartoni family of Antigal Winery & Estates received the precious award that awards them Best Winery in the New World 2023.
Upon receiving the award, whose announcement came in November 2023, Alessandra Cartoni, director of the Mendoza winery, expressed “I want to recognize our family and all the people who make our presence here possible, our work team for their dedication and care; for the common goal of producing wines that already have a place among the best in the world and that are present in more than 70 countries.”
Before concluding, he added “this award fills us with pride and serves as a thermometer for continuous improvement and innovation. “We honor our history and our lands and commit to a sustainable work model in harmony with the environment in pursuit of the future.”
With this award, the Mendoza winery becomes the only winner in Argentina, in 2023. The American magazine Wine Enthusiast highlighted Antigal Winery & Estates’ unwavering commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability in winemaking.
The Maipú winery competed in the “Wineries of the New World 2023” category and did so with Clos Henri, from Marlborough (New Zealand); Hamilton Russell Vineyards, Hemel-en-Aarde (South Africa); Matetic Vineyards, from Valle de Rosario (Chile); and The Sadie Family Wines PTY, from Swartland (South Africa).
The awards ceremony was held in Miami Beach (Florida), with the presence of all the leaders and companies that, according to the prestigious publication, have contributed significantly throughout the year to the success of the world of wine and spirits.
