Pop singer Heino has been a married citizen of Bad Münstereifel, which was badly hit by the flood, since 2019. The folk musician expressed his condolences to the residents.
Pop singer Heino (82) was shocked by the flood disaster in his adopted home Bad Münstereifel. “I saw the terrible pictures and I am deeply shaken,” said the singer of the German press agency in Cologne.
“My heart is in Bad Münstereifel and my thoughts are with the residents and with my many friends there.”
Heino and his wife Hannelore were out of town when the water came. According to the management, the couple has been in their second home, Kitzbühel, for a year due to a complete renovation of the historic Kurhaus, in which the two normally live. There the two would have learned of the accident. The Kurhaus itself was spared because it is on a hill.
Heino, born in Düsseldorf, has been an honorary citizen of Bad Münstereifel since 2019. He sent a message: If the mayor needs his help, he will “of course be at your side.”
