AC/DC is coming to Vienna for two stadium shows

AC/DC also want to celebrate an anniversary with the concerts, as the band played their very first concert on December 31, 1973.

The shows are part of the “Power Up” tour, which the band announced on Monday. A total of 21 concerts are planned throughout Europe. “Power Up” is also the title of the group’s most recent studio album, which was released in 2020. It is AC/DC’s first European tour in eight years, as the organizer announced.

At that time, however, singer Brian Johnson had to take a break for health reasons, which is why Axl Rose from Guns N’ Roses replaced him. Now Johnson is back at the microphone, and next to him the fans can of course also expect Angus Young on lead guitar. The band is currently completed by rhythm guitarist Stevie Young and drummer Matt Laug. According to the announcement, bassist Cliff Williams will have to be missed, although no further reasons were given for this. It is not yet clear who will replace him.
