The “Oppenheimer” star has discovered a way of dealing with fans that he also likes to share with his fellow actors.
“Oppenheimer” star Cillian Murphy (47) refuses selfies with fans. “I don’t take photos,” the Irishman told the men’s magazine “GQ” when he was approached by a fan on the street during the interview. “I just think it’s better to say ‘hi’ and have a little chat.”
The Hollywood star explained that this attitude changed his life. “I tell this to a lot of people, actor friends. (…) You don’t have to take a photo of every place you visited that day.”
The Irishman gained worldwide fame in 2002 with the apocalyptic horror film “28 Days Later” and starred in the series “Peaky Blinders” for years. He was nominated for an Oscar as the leading actor in Christopher Nolan’s hit film “Oppenheimer”.
