People: Bushido for tolerance: whether swinger or gay

Bushido has left Germany for Arabia. This only has advantages for his life.

Rapper Bushido has emphasized the advantages of his new home in Dubai – which is considered an intolerant dictatorship – over Germany. When asked what was going better in Dubai than in Germany, Bushido replied to the Berlin “Tagesspiegel”: “Security, service, taxes.” Although he still appreciates Berlin, there is “very polite behavior” in Dubai. “In Germany, on the other hand, I always have the feeling that wealthy people are looked at askance by others.”

Human rights organizations criticize the oppression of women and homosexuals, the exploitation of foreign workers and many other repressions in Dubai.

Bushido, who made a fortune with music and will be giving a few concerts in Germany again from March, continued in the “Tagesspiegel” interview: “In Dubai, foreigners are not treated like foreigners, I find that very pleasant. You’re not the German one Potato, the French baguette or the Indian curry. Every nationality and religion is welcome. Anyone who follows the rules is welcome.”

Media and education in Dubai from Bushido’s perspective

Negative topics such as the Ukraine war and the Gaza war are not as present in the media and in his children’s schools as they are in Germany. “If you don’t want to, you won’t notice anything about it. Of course the problems haven’t gone away. However, here you have the opportunity not to have to give in completely to it,” said Bushido. “At my children’s school there is an effort to leave these conflicts out. I find that very relaxing.” At the same time, the children would have to learn Arabic and have Islamic lessons at school.

There are hardly any conflicts between religions. “Here, Christmas is celebrated as well as Ramadan and Buddhist festivals. Jews openly show themselves as Jews. With a yarmulke, a beard, curls. People don’t look after them, they don’t get insulted.” In general, tolerance is the most important thing, emphasized the rapper: “We should learn to live with each other. Regardless of what we believe, what we look like and who we get into the box with. I don’t care if you as a guy fuck other guys , hanging around in the swingers club or licking the toilets in the Berghain Lab.”

Bushido’s dealings with the police and musical expression

Although Bushido is still under police protection during his visits to Germany, he doesn’t want to give up old songs that insult the police. “We have found a good way to deal with each other. I don’t censor any lines of text,” he said when asked why he continued to sing his song “Stress without a Reason” with the line “I fuck the police, LKA, BKA.” “We have known each other for many years now and have a professional relationship with each other: one thing is the music, the other is me as a private person.” But in new pieces he refrains from such insults, said Bushido. “Still, I had to grin a bit when I went through the playlist for my tour. How often I rap about the police is funny.”

According to “Tagesspiegel”, the interview took place before the verdict against Bushido’s ex-manager. The Berlin regional court acquitted the former business partner, who is considered the head of a clan of Arab origin, on key points on Monday. Bushido had accused the ex-manager of blackmail and violence.
