The New York “Met Gala” is often referred to as the “party of the year”. Many stars have already announced their presence this year.
Stars like singer Jennifer Lopez and actress Zendaya are hosting this year’s Met Gala. Musician Bad Bunny, actor Chris Hemsworth and “Vogue” boss Anna Wintour are also among the honorary organizers, the Metropolitan Museum in New York’s Central Park announced on Thursday.
The star-studded gala traditionally takes place in the museum on the first Monday in May. Often referred to as the “Party of the Year,” the Met Ball is an annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute. The proceeds from the “Costume Institute Benefit” form the annual budget of the institute, which is now named after Wintour.
The Metropolitan Museum said the gala will open the exhibition “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” this year. The dress code is “The Garden of Time”.
