According to Sotheby’s, over 200 auction items will change hands at the two-day auction that begins on Tuesday. The drawings, works of art, furniture and clothes come from the various residences of the fashion czar, who died in 2019, in particular from his apartment in Millefiori in Monaco and from Louveciennes Castle in France.
The auction items that are offered for sale include three double magnum bottles of Château Lafite Rothschild 1993. Some of the more than 1000 items in the “Karl Lagerfeld’s Estate” auctions went under the hammer in Monaco at the beginning of December. Three Rolls Royce also changed hands in the process. The third and last of these auctions will take place in Cologne next spring.
