The “People’s Choice Awards” have been considered the most important audience awards in the USA for many years. In contrast to many other events, neither critics nor jurors decide on the awarding of the trophies, but only the audience and fans. They choose their favorites from the film, TV and music industries. Unsurprisingly, the film “Barbie” and singer Taylor Swift are among the winners of this year’s awards. But many A-list celebrities were conspicuous by their absence. Taylor Swift, who is currently on tour, was unable to attend, nor was her partner Travis Kelce. The footballer and Super Bowl winner was named “Sportsman of the Year”.
