With the expectation of equaling or improving the numbers of its last edition, when despite a complex economic context it received 40,000 visitors and became the most attended in its entire history, between August 30 and September 1 it will take place in the Costa Salguero Center arteba fair 2024consolidated as one of the most important centers of contemporary art in Latin America.
Defined by its organizers as “a fair in constant growth” The meeting that brings together artists, gallery owners, curators, collectors, professionals and art fans will once again occupy the convention center located in Palermo and will have a pre-opening for the press and special guests scheduled for Wednesday, August 28 and Thursday, August 29, according to The Arteba Foundation reported today.
“We work to offer a fair of the highest artistic quality, attractive and full of energy, adapting each edition to the new challenges presented to us by the scene and the context in which we are located in relation to the objectives of our institution. Our commitment is to continue growing inside and outside the country,” said Larisa Andreani, president of the Foundation.
With exponential growth that forced a change of location, Last year the fair recorded its most popular edition, with more than 40,000 people who accessed an offer of more than 400 artists, represented by 58 galleries from more than 15 cities, mostly Argentine. It was undoubtedly the most visited, with very auspicious sales. “The best fair in fifteen years,” several gallery owners agreed at the time.
The challenge for the next edition will be to sustain these parameters in a context of economic recession where we will aim to project the local art market internationally and consolidate “an inclusive and sustainable art ecosystem.”
