The Austrian Health Insurance Fund announced this on Thursday. Most of those affected recover well afterwards; 160 patients have already required hospitalization this season. Symptoms include feeling cold, fever, sore throat, runny nose, cough, body aches and headaches. A flu-like infection usually lasts up to seven days; real flu can last several weeks. With the Austrian vaccination program you can get vaccinated against influenza, the real flu, for seven euros.
