“Dream Ship” star Horst Naumann: The actor is dead

Actor Horst Naumann (1925-2024) has died. This was announced by his widow, Martina Linn Naumann.

“My husband fell asleep peacefully at home,” she is quoted as saying. She goes on to report on the day of his death: “We had breakfast together in bed that morning, and then he slept there for a bit, like he always did.” At some point he stopped breathing. She was there. “He just fell asleep,” she remembers. Horst Naumann was 98 years old.

Ship’s doctor on the “dream ship”

He was best known for his role as the ship’s doctor Dr. Horst Schröder, whom he portrayed for more than 25 years from 1983 to 2010 in the TV series “Das Traumschiff” (since 1981, ZDF). He was together with the “Dream Ship” legends Heinz Weiss (1921-2010) as Captain Heinz Hansen (1983-1999), Siegfried Rauch (1932-2018) as Captain Jakob Paulsen (1999-2013) and Heide Keller (1939-2021). ) can be seen as head hostess Beatrice von Ledebur (1981-2018).

“He was the ‘dream ship’ doctor who seemed to really have medical powers: his calming and confident charisma meant you could actually relax in front of the screen when he was on board,” says acting “dream ship” captain Florian Silbereisen (42) of the daily newspaper.
